This paper is devoted to the study of a power generation system based on a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) with active filtering capabilities using the grid side converter (GSC). The main contribution of this work is to control the GSC in such a way that, in addition to ensuring the smooth regulation of the voltage in the DC link, compensate the network harmonics currents. The rotor side converter (RSC) is used to achieve maximum power generation and to provide the required reactive power for DFIG. To estimate the harmonics of the current of a nonlinear load, it is proposed to use a scheme based on observers. This objective is carried out based on the d-q reference frame, where the active and reactive components of the current are apparent. The simulation of the proposed algorithm for DFIG control is performed using MATLAB/Simulink. The efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed approach are proved by simulation results.
