Sergey Mykolayovych Kovbasa, Ph.D., associate professor. Born on April 16, 1976. He graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1999. In 2004, he defended his candidate’s thesis on the topic “Vector control system of an asynchronous motor with properties of roughness to variations of active resistance of the rotor.” In December 2008, he received the academic title of associate professor of the department of automation of electromechanical systems and electric drives.
In 2020, Serhii Mykolayovych Kovbasa defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Development of the theory of sensorless vector control of electromechanical systems with asynchronous motors” specialty 05.09.03 “Electrotechnical complexes and systems”. Scientific leader – Ph.D. Prof. Transfer of S.M.
For 7 years, he performed the duties of the deputy head of the department for scientific work.
Since 2021, he is the head of the department of automation of electromechanical systems and electric drives.
