Automation of electromechanical systems and electric drive department head prof. Peresada S. visited The University of Nottingham, Power Electronics, Machine and Control. Prof. Peresada S. was invited to hold an international seminar on the Chinese university campus in Ningbo concerning topic ‘Asynchronous machines for transport and industry – the state of art and prospects’. The seminar was attended by famous scientists from Great Britain, Germany, Italy and many China companies. The invitation was received in connection with department new specialization area opening, namely electromobility. Prof. Peresada S. made seminar plenary report, and also held negotiations about official relations establishment between ‘Igor Sikorsky KPI’ and Nottingham University on common scientific projects in the electric vehicles and electric planes development field, student exchange, masters and graduate students preparation under joint guidance.

Joint scientific and practical activities with the Nottingham University lasts for long time. An important person with whom our department has a close creative relationship is Sergei Bozhko, a AEMS-ED department graduate. He worked at department for five years, received a technical sciences candidate scientific degree. After that, he went to Nottingham University, where he still works as a professor in university research department. During his work abroad he, together with the our department staff, is actively developing and improving electromechanical systems controlling methods, the result of which is common scientific publications included in Scopus scientific database.
