The subject of the discipline is studying of mathematical methods for solving engineering problems (including problems in the field of electrical engineering and electromechanics) in simulation. These are problems that are difficult or impossible to solve by analytical methods.
They include:
• problems of linear algebra (calculation of determinants, inverse matrices, solution of systems of linear equations);
• operations with power polynomials;
• approximation and interpolation of tabular functions;
• numerical integration;
• harmonic synthesis and analysis of periodic functions;
• numerical solution of differential equations and their systems;
• numerical solution of nonlinear transcendental equations and their systems;
• determination of extreme values of functions by numerical methods, etc.
