The purpose of this credit module is to study principles of operation of the main types of semiconductor devices, construction and operation of analog devices (amplifiers, harmonic oscillators, linear power supplies) built on semiconductor devices and integrated circuits.
The main tasks in the study of the discipline are that students learn the principle of the main types of semiconductor devices (diodes, bipolar and field-effect transistors, thyristors), know the characteristics and parameters of these devices in order to used to build linear, pulse and digital circuits, were able to operate them competently, could form tasks for the development of electronic devices. In addition, students must acquire practical skills in the study of electronic device circuits and the design of research results.
Coursework includes:
- Development of a controlled rectifier with a filter.
- Development of frequency converters.
- Development of pulse converters of direct and alternating voltage.
- Graplical part of developed power circuit and specifications of all selected element.
