Technological processes are an important component of any automation system in industry. They differ from each other both in physical phenomena (hydraulic, thermal, mass transfer processes, etc.) and in the principle of building a control system (single-circuit, multi-circuit, single-channel, multi-channel, processes with many inputs / outputs, etc.). Qualitative regulation of the output coordinates of such processes, which in turn is the key to obtaining a quality source product, is possible only if students understand the mathematical description of the processes, proper synthesis, adjustment of controllers and design of automatic control systems. Therefore, for the training of specialists in the field of process management in automatic control systems, the study of this credit module is certainly relevant.
The purpose of studying the discipline is to prepare students in the basics of the theory of technological processes control and the specifics of them, development and adjustment of control systems and the use of modern software and microprocessor tools. The credit module provides preparation of certain sections of graduation works of the master. The main objectives of the discipline “Automated process control systems” are the acquisition of specific knowledge, skills and abilities to solve problems in the field of process control using computer software.
