Peresada, D. Rodkin and V. Reshetnyk

In this paper, theoretical and experimental comparison of the standard and feedback linearizing speed controllers for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors is presented. The feedback linearizing speed controller, designed using back stepping, guarantees asymptotic speed and direct current tracking together with asymptotic decoupling. Closed loop properties of both algorithms are analyzed. Results of simulation and experimental tests proof the theoretical findings. Obtained results are applicable for other configurations of the synchronous motors
