Workshop in THM, 2019
Workshop in THM is another meeting of our department and energy systems autonation department representatives with teachers and professors of University of Applied Sciences of Mittlehessen, Hessen (THM), Friedberg, Germany. The representatives of such companies as IPG, BE-Power, Zimmer etc were also invited.
Annual workshop ‘Advanced control in Power Systems and Drives’ was carried out in September 24, 2019. In this year, Ph.D. student Y. Nikonenko (AEMS-ED department) and Ph.D. A. Nesterko (AE department) have presentations on behalf of our faculty. Among the presenters, teachers from many countries have their reports, such as from Germany, Italy, Russia etc.
Y. Nikonenko’s report ‘Control of hybrid energy storage systems for elecrtic vehicles’ (scientific advisor Sc.D. S. Peresada) was about development of mixed energy sources consisting of batteries and supercapacitors.

Negotiations were also held to establish a double diploma program. In this year, four 5th-year students went to THM for the teaching semester, and one 6th-year student is conducting experimental studies in THM on the a master’s thesis topic.
