Congrats to Masters-graduates of winter 2018!

Congratulations to masters-graduates of winter in 2018! Awarding ‘professional magistracy’ diplomas to “I. Sikorsky KPI” graduates of the Electric Power Engineering and Automatics Faculty was held in the auditorium of the Academic Council on the evening of January 17, 2019, in the 1^st corps.

The boys and girls were first to finish the professional magistracy of our department of automation of electromechanical systems and electric drive.

33 masters are successfully defended, among them 10 masters get diplomas with honor. Given that 28 students enrolled in the full-time form, this is a fairly large percentage.

This is the second graduates set of masters for the new educational program, a link to the previous one.

During the period of study it is possible to note the peculiarities of graduates group:

• Traditionally, students took part in the annual conference “Modern problems of electric power engineering and automatics”; in 2016 at the 10th conference Bilenko Valeriy took the 1^st place in the section “Automation of electromechanical systems and electric drive”;

• At the 3^rd year of Pushnitsyna Iryna took 1^st place at the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers on the topic “Electrical engineering and electromechanics” in 2016, passing annually in the city of Kamianske (the old name Dneprodzerzhinsk) of the Dnipro region;
• a similar experience was repeated a year later – two students once again took prize places in 2017: Kalugin Danylo – 2^nd place, Burmelov Alexey – 2^nd place;
• A year later, on the 5^th year, they again won the prizes: Kalugin Danylo – 1^st place, Burmelev Aleksey – 1^st place;

• At the 5^th and 6^th educational years, together with their curator, Ph.D. associate professor S.V. Korol, the masters visited several interesting exhibitions, among them: Smart Building, Elcom, etc., as well as participated in numerous trainings with representatives of Schneider Electric Ukraine [1], [2], as well as EATON, which took place both in the offices of companies and at the department;

• many students have been practicing, internships or worked on a specialty in various companies in Kyiv from the 5^th year, combining hard work with Schneider Electric, Siemens, Hitachi, Diada, Yakhont and others.

As a result of conscientious training and cooperation of teachers with the department partners and department graduates, working in international companies and universities of the world:

• students took part in international conferences, among them “Problems of modern electrical engineering 2018“, etc.;

• under the direction of Ph.D. associate professor M.V. Pushkar there were created:
• stands for the research of modern elements and devices of electromechanical systems of companies Noark and CHINT – by Andrey Guzynsky;
• simulation laboratory work on the programming of the CTI company Siemens – by Holovko Valentin;

• under the direction of Ph.D. associate professor S.O. Buryan, stands for the research of two robot-manipulators (SCARA) (by Bilenko Valeriy) and modified the piston compressor automation system (by Blaschuk Alexander) have been created;

• under the direction of King S.V. there were created:
• setup with equipment of ABB for studying and researching industrial communication interfaces – by Bozhok Oleg;
• Stand for research of industrial systems of automation type MachineStructure of company Schneider Electric – by Kyyatkin Roman and Komar Alexander;
• stand with equipment Siemens for research of branched industrial automation systems with controller Simatic – by Roshchin Stanislav;
• a large number of virtual (simulation) labs based on the Schneider software and others.

Graduates received diplomas of an international standard recognized by employers and universities of the world, which makes it possible to get a job at a company engaged in the automation of electromechanical systems, industrial automation, the integration of digital systems, configuration of electrical installations, their programming, etc. both in Ukraine and abroad.

Traditionally, Dean of our Faculty Yandulsky O. S., Deputy Dean Assoc. Denisyuk P. L., Head of the Department of AEMS-ED Prof. S.M. Peresada and curator of graduates associate prof. S.V. Korol personally congratulated the boys and girls with the qualification of an electrical engineer on a new specialty “Electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics” and wished great future gains.
