Identification of the Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Electrical Parameters for Self-Commissioning

This paper develops a novel algorithm for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM) parameters identification for a self-commissioning procedure. The proposed algorithm is based on adaptive current controllers with robustness properties to inverter nonlinearities. It guarantees the stator resistance and inductances asymptotic estimation with permanent magnets flux if the conditions of persistency of excitation are provided. The validity of the conclusions is confirmed by the coincidence of the simulation study results with the experimental data.
