Indirect Field Oriented Control of the Saturated Induction Generators with Linear PI Regulators

Indirect Field Oriented Control of the Saturated Induction Generators with Linear PI Regulators

In this paper indirect field-oriented vector control for saturated induction
generator with linear proportional-integral regulators is considered. It is shown that under condition of field orientation the voltage-flux decoupling allows to design the voltage control subsystem using a decomposition approach based on the two-time scale separation of the voltage and torque current dynamics. Resulting structure of the DC-bus voltage dynamics enable to use the linear proportional-integral voltage control achieving under restriction on load current the locally stable voltage regulation. From the analysis of voltage subsystem dynamics a controllers tuning procedure is suggested. Presented in the paper simulations and experimental validation confirm the theoretical findings.
