Two new nonlinear controllers for voltage source AC-DC converter are presented. The first control algorithm is based on control of the system stored energy and guarantees a global exponential stability of the DC voltage regulation together with decoupled stabilization of the input reactive power on zero level. Second result is a simple feedback linearizing controller, which is developed using a two time-scale separation approach on the base of reasonable simplifying assumptions for resulting locally stable error dynamics. Simulation and experimental results proof the effectiveness of the theoretical findings.
