EATON-NTUU “KPI” Training Center “Modern Technologies in Automation”
Modern automation tools are based on unified digital devices with software control that can solve automation tasks in various industries. Programmable relays, PLC programmable logic controllers, compact industrial computers with graphic panels are used as control devices to implement human-machine interfaces, which can be combined into powerful, extensive automation systems or integrated into the enterprise automation system through various network interfaces. These devices are widely used in industry, as they can be used to automate almost any electromechanical object or technological process in general. Compact dimensions, high speed, simple programming languages and a wide selection of expansion modules for connecting various sensors and executive devices have allowed modern automation tools to significantly replace relay-contact circuits and elements with hard logic. Therefore, the acquisition of practical skills in system development based on modern automation tools is necessary in the preparation of modern engineers specializing in electromechanical automation systems and electric drives.
Students undergoing an internship in the basics of development, programming and testing of digital industrial automation systems, working on modern EATON equipment, gain practical knowledge on the following topics :
-
The basics of working with EasySoft software. Mastering the peculiarities of working with discrete inputs and outputs, the use of intermediate relays (markers), the basics of programming single-cycle circuits, checking the correctness of the program in the simulation mode and its practical implementation on a programmable relay.
-
Study of the peculiarities of the development of cyclic automation systems with reversible starting assemblies and soft start devices, the use of timers.
-
Methods of development of multi-cycle automation systems with discrete control. Studying the operation of counters, management and control of starting assemblies for alternating current motors.
-
Automation of processes with dynamic signals and continuous control using programmable logic controllers. Features of setting PID controller modules, comparison and scaling.
-
Learning the basics of developing human-machine interfaces based on MFD-Titan controllers.
-
Working in the Galileo software package, development of graphical interfaces with static and graphic objects, script language and basic commands.
-
