The company has been creating this bus for five years. The length of the Xcelsior AV is 12.2 M. it can carry 80 passengers (32-52 seats). While driving, it does not create CO2 emissions and can move without a driver. To do this, use the AutoDrive and AutoDrive bywire systems. They analyze the environment and create a three-dimensional model of it for navigation, reported Liga.net.
For visualization, the bus uses lidars, radars, and cameras with a 360-degree viewing angle. Xcelsior AV can detect cars and pedestrians by correcting its movement. It has the technology of disembarking passengers at stops 10 cm from the curb.
The bus can communicate with other vehicles and follow them in a column. It also receives data about traffic lights and other infrastructure warnings.
An autonomous bus can drive without GPS. In such conditions, it responds to possible interference in real time.
