Students of the department created an electric car platform
As an initiative work and as part of the qualification work, students of the department created a platform for a small-sized ultralight electric car. The platform is equipped with 20” bicycle wheels, hydraulic brakes and a DC motor.
The video shows the first Test, when the electric drive operates in uncontrolled mode from a limited power source in order to check the operation of the main components of the mechanical part of the platform.
In the near future, it is planned to equip the platform with a power source based on lithium-ion batteries and a voltage converter of our own design on IGBT. Drive motor control and automation of vehicle driving modes will be implemented programmatically on a self-developed control controller.
