Inductances Determination of the Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors Considering Saturation

In this paper, two tests for determination of inductances of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motors are presented, accounting for the saturation of the magnetic system. The proposed tests allow excluding influence of inverter nonlinearities on accuracy of inductances determination. Several methods are proposed to calculate the static and dynamic inductances based on the measured data. Experimentally obtained fluxes and inductances curves are presented for two machines. The proposed methods are compared and analyzed according to their accuracy and convenience of implementation.
