Speed Vector Control of Induction Motor with Copper and Iron Losses Minimization
O.Tolochko, D. Kaluhin, D.

This paper introduces a speed vector control system of induction motor (IM) with minimization of the copper and iron loss. Proposed losses model based method minimizes the most significant losses in the motor: heat losses in the stator and rotor windings and core losses from eddy currents. A new method for the structural realization of this optimal system is proposed. The proposed system differs from typical systems in terms of the reference signal generation method for the direct and quadrature components of the stator current. It enables increased steady-state efficiency, and ensures high transients quality.
