This paper develops and experimentally substantiates a new algorithms to identify unknown parameters of inductionmotors during self commissioning procedure. To guarantee asymptotic identification, we design adaptive stator current controller based on stator flux observer. Allowed current references guarantee global exponential identification of three induction motor parameters as well as estimation of the stator fluxes in both motionless and rotating rotor operation. Overestimation of the stator fluxes is used to achieve global stability. Additionally, a simplified version of an adaptive current controller without overestimation is presented. It guarantees local asymptotic stator current tracking, parameters identification and flux estimation. Performed experiments demonstrate that the proposed schemes guarantee identification and estimation accuracy with fast asymptotic convergence of errors to zero. Our procedure supplement the existing industrial control schemes, and, consistent with vector controls including sensorless algorithms.
