This paper deals with harmonic content reduction and reactive power compensation in three-phase grids through shunt active filter implementation. The presented control strategy consists of the Luenberger observer for selective current harmonics estimation and the adaptive current controller. The adaptive current controller is designed using the Lyapunov second method and guarantees the identification of unknown resistance and inductance of the filter as well as asymptotic current control and harmonic distortion rejection. The simulation studies prove theoretical findings.
