The paper presents a new output feedback control algorithm for a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG). Vector control scheme is implemented to provide stand-alone load voltage magnitude regulation at constant frequency in restricted speed variation range. The control algorithm is designed in the stator voltage vector oriented reference frame using full-order DFIG model when only stator voltages, currents and speed/position are measured. The proposed control system is robust with respect to bounded machine parameter variations and errors in rotor position measurement. Simulation and experimental studies show good dynamic performance and robustness of the control algorithm for typical operating conditions.
