This paper deals with the investigation of flux and stator current maximal values of autonomous induction generator with DC link voltage and rotor angular speed below the rated values. The dependence of the maximum flux from DC link voltage is analytically determined based on the stator circuit electrical equilibrium equations in a steady state. The maximum value of the stator current active component is determined by the balance of power in autonomous generator. The simulation results of excitation processes of the generator and the charge of capacitor in the DC link confirmed the results of analytical studies. Presented results can be used in the design of startup algorithms of autonomous generation systems based on induction machines.
